RAILS / REACT SOFTWARE ENGINEER WITH FULL STACK MENTALITY

The platform foodstarter.edeka helps young food startups to test and sell their innovative food brands to over 1500 EDEKA stores. Startups present their food innovations to EDEKA store managers and bring them faster into their customers' hands. Currently, over 200 registered startups receive more than 100 orders per week and it is growing continuously. We want you to be part of this exciting journey and need your help along the way!

Once here you’ll be:

  • Planning, building and deploying foodstarter.edeka on a regular basis; our tech stack is Ruby / Rails, PostgreSQL and React
  • Owning what you build, making technical decisions and applying the best practices to every piece of code and infrastructure
  • Implement features in a user-story-driven way in our sleek Kanban team

Your skillset:

  • 3+ years working experience as a software engineer
  • Experience building web / e-commerce applications
  • Strong full stack mentality and a desire to work across the tech stack
  • Preferred: Experience with Ruby / Rails application, Trailblazer, PostgreSQL
  • Preferred: Experience with React / Angular, Webpack and Node ecosystem
  • Proficiency in English and German – not necessarily perfect
